New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) achieved 16pc growth in total sales during Apr-Jan FY 2025-26 period at 16.6 million tonnes (MT), an official statement said here on Tuesday.
The Maharatna CPSE also registered highest-ever January sales at 1.84MT which is up from 1.68MT in the corresponding month of the previous year, marking a growth of 10pc.
It has also resulted in inventory reduction of 0.25MT and substantial reduction in borrowings, the statement added.
The record-breaking performances during these periods span across multiple parameters including sales, dispatches, cash collections and customer door-to-door delivery.
The company achieved record dispatches from plants, expanded door delivery volumes and enhanced warehouse sales.
