Administrative Correspondent, Bhopal: To develop a sense of competition among the sanitation workers of urban bodies regarding cleanliness in the bodies and to make the cities as clean as possible, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced a big incentive amount for Safai Mitras. Now, Safai Mitras will also get incentives according to the number of stars the bodies get in the cleanliness ranking. One thousand rupees will be given for each star ranking, that is, Safai Mitras will be able to get a maximum of Rs 7 thousand in the ranking up to 7 stars. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav while inaugurating Swachhata Hi Seva Fortnight 2024 and Prime Minister’s Indian Jan Aushadhi Centers in 50 district hospitals of the state in a program organized at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium.
CM said that in the Swachhta Survey-2024, the amount will be provided to the Safai Mitras on the basis of garbage-free city-star certification to the urban bodies. The amount of stars received by the urban bodies in the ranking will be given to all the Safai Mitras working in it, that much amount will be given. Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, who were present as the chief guests in the program, released an amount of Rs 4 crore to Bhopal Municipal Corporation, which got five star rating in Swachhta Survey – 2023, with a single click. This amount will be given as an incentive to 8116 Safai Mitras of Bhopal Municipal Corporation at the rate of Rs 5000 each.
First school of cleanliness is our home: Governor
Addressing the program, Governor Mangubhai Patel said that cleanliness starts from our home. The first school of cleanliness is our home. Therefore, the beginning of giving the sanskar of cleanliness to the children will have to be started from our home itself. We all should learn from Mahatma Gandhi and include cleanliness in our daily routine. Governor Patel congratulated Indore city for being the leader in cleanliness for 7 consecutive years. The Governor said that Jan Aushadhi Kendra is a special initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the poor. He congratulated the people of the state on the inauguration of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras in all 50 district hospitals of the state on the occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday. The Governor said that due to minimum price and quality medicines, the medicine centers are in the economic interest of the poor.
Making the life of the people easier is the biggest gift of PM Modi: CM
Dr. Yadav has said that providing facilities to make the life of the people easier is the biggest and memorable gift to be given to Prime Minister Modi. On the birthday of Prime Minister Modi, the Prime Minister Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras being started in all 50 hospitals of the state and the house warming ceremony in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will improve the standard of living of the common man of the state. The state government is also committed to the welfare of Safai Mitras. This work being done for the common man is a gift of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that on the initiative of Prime Minister Modi, 1 lakh 31 thousand families of the state are entering the newly constructed houses under the PM Housing Scheme. So far, more than 36 lakh 24 thousand rural families in the state have been provided housing under the scheme. Similarly, more than 8 lakh 5 thousand brothers and sisters have benefited through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban.
