Moscow, August 30 (UNI) Russia has no doubt that the Polish security services continue to seek opportunities to cooperate with Russian diplomats, Russian Ambassador to Warsaw Sergey Andreyev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“There was one such episode in the recent past, but it was not successful. No new attempts have been noted so far, but we have no doubt that they continue to look for opportunities,” Andreyev stated.
Relations between Russia and Poland have significantly deteriorated in recent years. Moscow has accused Warsaw of exhibiting rabid Russophobia. Despite criticism and protests from Russia, the Polish authorities continue to demolish Soviet-era monuments and confiscate Russian property.
In response to Warsaw’s actions, Moscow placed Poland on its list of unfriendly countries and expelled dozens of Polish diplomats and consular staff—retaliation for Poland’s expulsion of Russian diplomats.
