Mumbai, Apr 15 (UNI) The Rupee on Tuesday became further strong at 85.76, advancing 30 paise against USD, on brisk selling of US Dollar from foreign banks and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
Even, robust equity market boosted the domestic unit.
The local unit gained 42 paise at 85.64 in the opening session. At the end of the session, it was slightly weak from the opening level, but finished strong only at 85.76, surging 30 paise as compared to its last close.
The domestic unit was on top on a weak Dollar against other world currencies amid a strong equity market.
The Rupee recorded intra-day high and low at 85.59 and 85.81 respectively, the dealer added.
