Ruhmantic–PHDCCI’s 2nd global spiritual tourism event in Ujjain on Aug 27

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) The holy city of Mahakal, Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, is all set to host the prestigious “Ruhmantic” – the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (PHDCCI) 2nd global spiritual tourism conclave on August 27, said a statement from the union Tourism Ministry here.

Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, will inaugurate the conclave to be attended by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, union Minister of Tourism and Culture.

The conclave, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, aims to highlight the significance of spiritual tourism in India’s cultural and economic landscape.

A major highlight of the event will be the release of the PHDCCI–KPMG report titled “Faith & Flow: Navigating Crowds in India’s Sacred Spaces”, which examines the evolving dynamics of spiritual tourism in the country, said the statement.

The event will witness discussion on diverse topics such as ‘Temple economies: Where faith meets livelihood – exploring the socio-economic impact of temple circuits on local communities,’ ‘Mahakal’s Mandala: Ujjain’s spiritual power and urban future – focusing on the balance between heritage conservation and urban development’, and ‘Mind, Body & Soul: Wellness as the new spiritual frontier – discussing the integration of yoga, ayurveda, and wellness tourism,’ among others.
