Gwalior, October 13: In a profound act of compassion and sensitivity, Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, has pledged financial security for two-year-old Tanya Kushwah, who tragically lost both parents in a road accident on the Guna bypass.
Stepping Up for Tanya
The Minister immediately took responsibility for the toddler’s future by opening a Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account in her name, providing a financial safety net for the next 21 years. Scindia announced he will personally contribute Rs 12,000 rupees annually to the account until Tanya turns 21.
Rs 5.54 Lakh Security Shield
This commitment ensures that when Tanya reaches the age of 21, she will receive a total maturity amount of Rs 5,54,000 rupees (approximately Rs 5.54 lakh), including interest. This substantial sum will serve as crucial financial support for her higher education or marriage.
“Securing her Future is My Duty”
Upon learning of the heartbreaking incident—the untimely death of Priyanka and Deepak Kushwah—Scindia felt a moral obligation to step in. “At an age when she should be holding her parents’ hands, her support was snatched away,” he stated emotionally. “This financial aid is a pledge to secure her future and keep her hope alive, ensuring she faces no fear. Securing her future is my personal and moral duty.” The Minister’s swift and sensitive response offers a significant shield to a child left vulnerable by tragedy.
