Bhopal, The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has introduced a significant initiative to ensure the safety of female passengers—“Operation Meri Saheli.” This initiative aims to provide a secure travel experience for women, ensuring they are protected from any potential crisis during their journey.
The primary objective of “Operation Meri Saheli” is to prioritize the safety of female passengers. Under this campaign, RPF has implemented special security measures to make women feel confident and safe while traveling. Additionally, female passengers are being educated on safety precautions and awareness, ensuring they receive quick assistance in emergencies.
Key achievements: In 2025, RPF, Western Central Railway, has assisted over 13,160 women, ensuring their safe arrival at destinations.
Measures include:
Special security arrangements: Female RPF personnel are deployed at stations and on trains to ensure safety.
Awareness: Passengers are educated on issues like theft, harassment, and emergency support.
Immediate assistance: A 24/7 helpline (139) is available to resolve any complaints.
RPF urges female passengers to stay alert and use the helpline for a secure and confident travel experience. This initiative is a crucial step toward creating a safer, inclusive transportation system.
