RNTU hosts cyber safety awareness session to empower students

Bhopal: Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU), in collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), MPLSA, organized an insightful awareness session focusing on cyber safety, digital fraud prevention, and responsible communication practices.

The session featured Neelesh Shrivastav, Director Technology at DoT, as the Chief Guest. Vice Chancellor Dr. R.P. Dubey opened the program by emphasizing the urgent need for digital literacy among today’s youth.

Harshit Modi, Assistant Director General, delivered the keynote address, discussing the Sanchar Sathi initiative, methods for preventing cyber fraud, EMF awareness, and safe digital usage. He presented real-life examples, screened awareness videos, and engaged in an interactive session with students.

Rashmi Karandikar, Assistant Director Technology and Sanchar Mitra Programme Coordinator, highlighted the goals of the Sanchar Mitra initiative, encouraging students to become ambassadors for safe communication.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Laxmi Singh, acknowledging the support from DoT. The event saw enthusiastic participation from Sanchar Mitras, faculty members, and students.
