New Delhi, Aug 29 (UNI) Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said today, the company is transforming into a deep tech and advanced manufacturing enterprise with artificial intelligence, digital platforms, retail expansion, and green energy emerging as the next growth engines.
He was addressing shareholders at the company’s 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Mukesh Ambani said, “ Artificial Intelligence is at the heart of Reliance’s transformation into a deep-tech enterprise. To bring even more focus and speed to this agenda, it is my pleasure to announce the formation of a wholly-owned subsidiary called Reliance Intelligence.”
Ambani further stated that “Reliance Intelligence will focus on four key focus areas:- next-gen AI infrastructure, global partnerships, AI services for India, and house talent for AI.”
He said that Reliance Intelligence will bring global companies to India and deliver easy-to-use AI solutions for consumers, small businesses, and sectors including agriculture, education, and design.
Reliance also announced its collaboration with Google to transform different sectors, including energy, retail, telecom, and financial services.
To drive AI adoption, the companies will establish the Jamnagar Cloud Region, which will focus on world-class AI computing. Reliance is intended to bring world-class assets with the help of Google’s leading AI technologies.
Reliance will form a joint venture with Meta to build scale enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for India and expand them to international markets. Ambani termed this partnership as a ‘game-changer’ as it will drive the digital adoption of advanced technologies.
He also stressed the role of AI in transforming sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, and small businesses, pledging to make India the world’s lowest-cost hub for AI inferencing through green-powered data centres and cloud infrastructure.
Stressing the role of artificial intelligence, Ambani said the motive of our company is to expand ‘AI for everywhere and every Indian.’
