Right to water, forest and land is the fundamental right of tribal society: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the right to water, forest and land is the fundamental right of tribal society. The British wanted to snatch it from them. Bhagwan Birsa Munda raised the tribal society against the atrocities and misconduct of the British and fought against the British on two levels. On one hand, he protected the fundamental rights of the tribal society and on the other hand, he demolished the nefarious attempts of Christian missionaries to convert our tribal brothers into Christians by tampering with our religion. Today, on the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, we remember and salute him from the bottom of our hearts.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched a campaign to bring the glorious history of the tribal society before the country. He took the decision to celebrate Tribal Pride Day on 15th November every year on the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda across the country in Madhya Pradesh itself. Today Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti is being celebrated across the country. The life of Bhagwan Birsa Munda is a guide for all of us.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that continuous efforts are being made to restore tribal pride in Madhya Pradesh. Today, the museum of great tribal heroes Shri Badal Bhoi and Shri Shankar Shah Raghunath Shah has been inaugurated. Tantya Mama Bhil was a great freedom fighter of Malwa region. The new university of Khargone in the state is being named Krantiveer Tantya Mama University. The railway station near Mhow has also been named after him. Rani Durgavati Yojana is being run to promote Kodo, Kutki in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the tribal society has kept our culture and traditions alive even today. The tribal society cooperated in the struggle of Lord Shri Ram against Ravana. Lord Krishna used to wear peacock feathers, the tribal society also wears peacock feathers. By remembering Bhagwan Shri Ram, Shri Krishna and Birsa Munda, we get a chance to connect with the roots of our culture. Today, the Veeran Mala that the people of the tribal society have made me wear is not an ordinary garland, it has special significance. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that no stone will be left unturned in the development and welfare works of the tribal society. The entire country will get the benefit of the river linking campaign. Now shahdol district will also get water from the Bansagar project. A permanent helipad will be built in Shahdol. Every person will get the benefit of government facilities. The government has decided that if any person is injured in an accident and there is an airstrip nearby, he will be taken to the hospital by air for treatment.
