Bhopal: Bhopal witnessed solemn tributes and heartfelt commemorations on Friday as leaders, citizens, and students gathered to honor Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Day, marking the death anniversary of the architect of the Indian Constitution.
State Congress President Jitu Patwari led the homage by offering floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar, fondly remembered as Baba Saheb, at an event attended by a large number of party leaders and workers. Senior Congress leaders Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh were also present, joining Patwari in recalling Ambedkar’s monumental contributions to India’s democratic framework and his relentless pursuit of social equality.
Beyond the political sphere, members of civil society, school and college students, and citizens from various walks of life came together to honor Ambedkar’s legacy. CM pays homage
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid his respects, describing Ambedkar as a “living school of democracy” whose work continues to inspire generations. Addressing the gathering, the CM remarked, “Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb was instrumental in shaping modern India. His life was dedicated to public welfare and the establishment of an egalitarian society. His vision of democracy and justice remains unmatched.”
