RGPV erupts: NSUI unleashes fury, demands crackdown on corruption

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh – The Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) in Bhopal has been rocked by a three-hour-long, fierce protest led by the NSUI, demanding accountability for rampant irregularities. Spearheaded by Bhopal District President Akshay Tomar, the student organization claims its aggressive stance has finally forced the university administration to act.

NSUI forces concessions, exposes university tactics

In a direct response to NSUI’s seven-point demand list, the university removed Deputy Registrar Professor Rajesh Bhargav from his position as PhD In-charge. However, NSUI State Vice President Ravi Parmar immediately called out the university’s suspicious maneuver, revealing the order was backdated to July 10 to hide that the decision was a direct result of NSUI’s relentless pressure. The NSUI has formally complained to the Vice-Chancellor, condemning this as an attempt to “spread confusion and hide the truth.”

NSUI District President Akshay Tomar asserted this action is a “result of NSUI’s struggle,” but the university is “desperately trying to protect itself by backdating the order.” The NSUI demands full transparency and celebrates the immediate action taken on two key demands.

NSUI’s demands & ultimatum

The NSUI’s core demands include the removal of corrupt officials, investigations into financial irregularities, and probes into academic fraud. They’ve pushed for an FIR against those involved in an incident with teachers, the removal of Prof. Sanjay Shilakari for alleged corruption, and an investigation into Vyapam accused Sudhir Singh Bhadoriya for mark manipulation.

Akshay Tomar issued a clear and uncompromising ultimatum: if the remaining demands are not met within 10 days, the NSUI will launch an even “more aggressive protest.” He declared that the NSUI’s battle against corruption and irregularities within the university will continue. Hundreds of students joined the powerful demonstration.
