Bhopal: A retired Arm man living in Ratibad committed suicide by hanging himself. The police registered a case and after conducting a postmortem, handed over the body to the family. No suicide note was found near the deceased. The reasons for the suicide will be revealed only after the family’s statement. According to the police, Pramod Pandey (45) was retired from the army and lived with his family in Vishal Nagar Neelbad. After having lunch on Thursday afternoon, he took medicine and went to sleep in his room.
When he did not come out of the room till late evening, his wife Alpana Pandey knocked on the door. When the door did not open, she looked through the window and saw Pramod hanging inside. With the help of the people around, somehow the door was opened and he was taken down from the noose and taken to the hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead after checking. After receiving information from the hospital, the police reached the spot, registered a case and sent the body for postmortem. The police said that no suicide note was found near the deceased. The reason for hanging will be revealed only after the statements of the family.

Student dies after falling from the fifth floor balcony
A school student who was injured after falling from the fifth floor in Kolar area died in a private hospital during treatment. She was a victim of the accident while drying clothes in the balcony. The police registered a case and after conducting the post-mortem, handed over the body to the family. The matter is being investigated. According to the information, police constable Rajesh Katare is posted in Lokayukta. He lives with his family on the fifth floor of the Ultimate Campus of Bhumika Residency on Kolar Road. His younger daughter Riya Katare (15) was a student of class 11th. On Thursday evening at around 5 pm, Riya had reached the balcony of her flat to dry clothes, when suddenly her foot slipped and she fell from the balcony to the ground. Seriously injured Riya was taken to JK Hospital for treatment. When her condition did not improve, the family took her to Bansal Hospital, where Riya died at around 2:15 am late night.

2 people including elderly woman die in accidents
Two people including an elderly woman died in accidents at different places on Thursday. The police have registered a case and handed over the bodies to the relatives. In both the cases, the vehicles that hit the people have not been identified. The police is investigating the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area. According to the information, Jagpati Bai (70) lived in Omnagar Arera Hills. On Thursday night, she had reached to take prasad in the bhandaara being organized on Ganesh Jhanki. At around 9:15 pm, she was standing on the roadside in front of the Vidhan Sabha, when an unknown speeding car hit her. The seriously injured woman was taken to Hamidia Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared her dead shortly after. The police registered a case and handed over the body to the relatives after conducting the post-mortem. The car that hit the people is being traced. Meanwhile, Deepu (57), who lived in Anna Nagar under Govindpura police station, used to work in a private job. He was crossing the road at Anna Nagar crossing at around 5 am on Thursday when an unknown vehicle hit him. He was rushed to a private hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead after checking.

Jewellery worth lakhs stolen
Thieves broke the lock of an empty house of a farmer living in Bairasia and stole jewellery worth lakhs of rupees. Police have registered a case against unknown thieves. According to the police, Gabbar Singh Rajput (31) is originally from village Darwaji. Currently, he lives in Semra Road Bairasia and does farming.
On September 14, Gabbar locked his house and went to village Darwaji. When he reached home on Thursday morning, the lock was broken. When he went inside, all the stuff was scattered and the cupboard was open. On checking, the wife’s gold mangalsutra, gold rani haar, 6 gold bangles, gold earrings, three gold rings, a girl’s silver anklet and a girl’s piggy bank containing about 15 thousand rupees cash were not found in the cupboard. The police have registered a case against unknown thieves.

Bike rider injured after being hit by Innova
A bike rider was injured after being hit by a speeding Innova in Bilkhiriya area. According to the information, Tinesh, son of Kamta Prasad Bhalavi (28), is a resident of Tehsil Mohalla Raisen. Recently, he was going from Bhopal to Raisen by motorcycle. A speeding Innova hit his bike near LNCT in Bilkhiriya, due to which he collided with the divider and got injured. Seriously injured Tinesh has been admitted to a private hospital in Habibganj for treatment. After receiving information from the hospital, the police reached the spot and after taking statements have registered a case against the driver of the car that hit the girl.
