Bhopal: The Regional Museum of Natural History (RMNH), Bhopal, successfully hosted a speech competition today centered on the critical topic of ‘E-Waste Management’. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 22 students of Classes 11 and 12 from five schools across Bhopal and Raisen districts.
The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Beenish Rafat, Scientist-D and Head of Office at the museum. The judging panel, including Dr. Prem Kumar Srivastava (Retd. Scientist, MP Pollution Control Board) and Dr. Avinash Chandra Karera, offered detailed guidance to participants on the importance of safe recycling and proper management of electronic waste.
Winners and civic engagement
Anshika Rajput of Bal Bharti Public School, Nishatpura, secured the first prize, followed by Sakshi Singh (second) and Bhavishya Yadav (third). Encouragement awards were also distributed.
The event concluded with a strong civic message under the ‘Vande Mataram Abhiyan’. Participants and teachers engaged in a plantation drive after the competition. All attendees, officials, and staff then collectively sang the patriotic song “Vande Mataram,” symbolizing unity and commitment to the nation and environment.
