Red Fort Blast case: NIA conducting raids in Kashmir

New Delhi (December 1 UNI): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is currently carrying out search operations in South Kashmir in connection with the Delhi Red Fort Blast case.
A source said that search operations were ongoing at various locations in Shopian and other areas of Kashmir, including the premises belonging to Dr. Adil, Dr Muzaffar, Dr Jasif, and Maulvi Irfan.
The source said that the search operation started early Monday morning and more than fifteen NIA teams were pressed into service.
So far, the NIA has arrested six people in connection with the Red Fort blast. The case, initially registered by the Delhi Police, was later transferred to the NIA by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The agency has confirmed that a Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) was used in the attack by Dr. Umar Nabi, the suicide bomber. He was driving an i20 car packed with explosives, which detonated outside the Red Fort, killing fifteen people and injuring more than thirty.
Moreover,the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has registered two FIRs and issued two summons to Javed Ahmed Siddiqui, Chairman of Al Falah University. Following the Delhi Police FIR, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also registered a Prevention of Money Laundering Act case and arrested Siddiqui after conducting raids.
