  • Government fulfilling its responsibilities like a brother: Deputy CM Shukla

Bhopal, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla extended his best wishes to the people of Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, stating that the festival strengthens traditions and family values. He emphasized that the government, much like a brother, is committed to fulfilling its responsibilities to the women of the state.

Shukla highlighted that the festival is a powerful symbol of the unbreakable bond between brothers and sisters, founded on love, trust, and mutual responsibility. He stated that Raksha Bandhan serves as a reminder of our collective duty toward women’s respect, safety, and empowerment.

Government schemes empowering women

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state government has launched several initiatives to empower women. Shukla pointed to schemes like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, ‘Ladli Laxmi Yojana’, and ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana’ as landmark efforts that have made women socially, economically, and educationally stronger.

In a recent move, Chief Minister Yadav increased the stipend for the Ladli Bahna Yojana from Rs 1,250 to Rs 1,500. Shukla said this decision reflects the government’s sensitivity and commitment to women’s economic empowerment, which will further boost their self-reliance. He concluded by wishing all sisters in the state a happy, safe, and prosperous future.
