Many festivals are celebrated in the month of Sawan. A lot of shopping is done by the customers during this period. Especially as Rakshabandhan is round the corner, an exhibition of several products along with colorful rakhis has been organized at Bhopal Haat.
Handicrafts of Nandita Shukla of the capital have become the center of attraction. The Panchayat and Rural Development Department has organized a Shravan fair from August 19 to 29 in the Bhopal Haat complex, in which MP Self-help groups from different districts are bringing their products here. In which mainly letter items from Dewas, herbs, cone work leather craft from Indore, Bagh print from Dhar, ladies clothes, bed sheets from Tikamgarh, print clothes from Panna, Kodo kutki and clothes from Raisen, Chanderi saree suit from Ashoknagar, Sehore Jute bangs from Chhatarpur, pottery from Chhatarpur, terracotta from Damoh, Bari Papad Bijore, tribal doll toys from Jhabua are available.
Apart from the above, various dishes can also be tasted in the Bhopal Haat premises. The opening time of the fair is from 1 pm to 10 pm. Cultural activities are being organized on Saturdays and Sundays for the entertainment of the customers and craftsmen.
