  • Instructions given to all districts through video conference

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative, various efforts are being made to eliminate the remnants of colonialism in the country. As part of this effort, many laws will be implemented in a new form starting July 1. To emphasize justice over punishment and protect the constitutional rights of Indian citizens, three bills have been repealed and replaced with new punitive bills. It is essential to ensure that this information is made available to the general public. Dr. Yadav conveyed this message during a video conference with all the collectors, commissioners, and senior police officers of the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that bills and acts dating back to the British era include the Indian Penal Code 1860, Code of Criminal Procedure (1898), 1973, and the Indian Evidence Act 1872. The Indian Penal Code 1860 will be replaced by the Indian Penal Code Bill 2023. The Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 will be replaced by the Indian Civil Defense Code Bill 2023. Similarly, the Indian Evidence Act 1872 has been replaced by the Indian Evidence Bill 2023.

July 1 is a special day for country and state

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that tomorrow, July 1 is going to be a special day for the entire country and the state. The Indian Penal Code, CrPC, Indian Evidence Act, which have been in place since the British era… all these rules are going to be changed and new types of laws are set to be implemented. Now instead of the Penal Code, there will be mention of the Code of Justice. That is, our system should run on the basis of justice. As long as the British dominated us, they used to talk about punishment. Our tradition is the tradition of justice.

Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, these three laws will be integrated into the lives of all countrymen. They will offer convenience. We will get an opportunity to be proud of our culture. For the campaign that will run in the entire state with the participation of the common people, all types of training programmes were conducted within the police stations for this system and instructions have been issued to run a campaign in collaboration with the officials for public awareness. I hope everyone will take advantage of it together. Our government will follow this campaign of Prime Minister Modi to the letter.
