Bhopal, The weather in Madhya Pradesh is set to stay cool with the possibility of rain continuing until May 1st. The Meteorological Department has forecast rain across various districts of the state, with conditions likely to persist through Tuesday. Heavy showers are expected in areas such as Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Narmadapuram, Betul, Narsinghpur, Shyopur, Ashoknagar, Vidisha, Sagar, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Pandurna, Jabalpur, Dindori, and Anuppur until Thursday.

Along with the rain, winds of up to 50 km/h are anticipated, which could cause some disruptions. The dramatic change in weather follows a scorching heatwave, with Monday’s showers bringing some respite. Strong winds have been reported, with incidents of trees and weak structures being uprooted in some regions.

Weather experts attribute the rainfall to a trough line forming over the region, which is triggering these unseasonal showers. The rain has provided significant relief from the sweltering heat, leading to a noticeable dip in temperatures. On Monday, temperatures reached as high as 42.9°C in Dhar, 42.2°C in Narsinghpur, 42.1°C in Khandwa, and other districts, but the ongoing rainfall has helped in lowering the extreme heat.
