Bhopal: The Ministry of Railways has officially sanctioned the renaming of the Parewadi railway station on the Solapur Division of Central Railway in Maharashtra. The station will now be known as Kettur.
This change comes following a formal request from the Government of Maharashtra and subsequent approval from the Central Government. The Railway Board has issued a notification detailing the change.
New Details and Code
The station’s official code has been updated from PRWD to KEU. The newly approved spelling across all scripts is “KETTUR”.
All concerned railway departments have been instructed to immediately update the new name in their records, ticketing systems, and signage. The renaming aims to align the station’s official designation with local linguistic and administrative preferences.
