Bhopal: The Bhopal Division of West Central Railway is under the microscope as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Pankaj Tyagi carried out a thorough inspection of the railway’s running room and hospital. The visit aimed to assess the quality of working conditions, health services, and overall facilities for railway staff.
At the railway hospital in Nishatpura, the DRM personally interacted with patients and medical staff to gauge the quality and accessibility of healthcare services. He meticulously reviewed the Outpatient Department (OPD), wards, pharmacy, diagnostic facilities, and emergency services. DRM Tyagi directed medical officers to ensure that all railway employees and their families receive timely and high-quality medical care.
Focus on crew well-being
Following the hospital visit, the DRM inspected the running room at Bhopal station, where he met with locomotive pilots and guards on duty. He engaged with the crew, gathering feedback on their duty schedules, rest room conditions, food quality, sanitation, and other essential amenities. Emphasizing the critical role of these employees in ensuring railway safety, he instructed officials to provide a stress-free and secure environment. This, he noted, would allow the running staff to perform their duties with the focus and concentration required for maintaining safety standards.
The inspection was attended by Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Ajay Dogra and several senior officials from the electrical and engineering departments, highlighting the interdepartmental effort to improve staff welfare and operational efficiency.
