Bhopal: In recognition of their exceptional vigilance and prompt action, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of West Central Railway, Bhopal Division, has presented the prestigious “Safety Cash Award” to 13 railway employees. These dedicated personnel were honored for their outstanding contributions to safety between August and October 2025, demonstrating remarkable presence of mind and skill in preventing potential train accidents.
Safety remains the highest priority in railway operations, and these 13 awardees played a critical role in ensuring the security of passengers, rolling stock, and railway property. Their timely intervention averted multiple serious incidents, ranging from detecting broken wagon doors and coupling faults to spotting fires and weld failures on the track. One trackman was even recognized for saving the life of an elderly woman on the railway line.
During the felicitation ceremony, DRM Pankaj Tyagi highly commended the employees for their dedication, alertness, and commitment to duty. This initiative serves to encourage all railway staff to maintain the highest standards of safety and vigilance.
