According to TI Anjana Dubey of Mahila Thana, the girl lives in Bhopal and her marriage was fixed with Suresh, a resident of Narmadapuram. Suresh is employed in the railways. Both were engaged on March 10, 2025 and the wedding date was fixed on May 11. Everything was going well after the engagement, but the youth and his family demanded five lakh rupees and a Bullet as dowry.
The girl’s family expressed their inability to meet this dowry demand, after which the accused flatly refused to marry. The girl’s family had made all the preparations from garden booking to printing wedding cards, but the sudden breaking of the relationship was a big shock for them.
