Rail Ready for Festivals: Bhopal Division Ramps Up Ticketing and Security

Bhopal: The Bhopal Railway Division is taking extensive measures to manage the massive surge in passenger traffic expected during the Diwali and Chhath Puja holidays, ensuring smooth ticketing and essential services.

Under the guidance of DRM Pankaj Tyagi and led by Senior DCM Saurabh Kataria, the division has optimized ticket services across 88 stations, including major hubs like Bhopal, Itarsi, and Bina.

= Enhanced Ticketing System

To facilitate quick and easy access to travel, the division has activated:

  • 57 Unreserved Ticket Windows
  • 21 Combined Unreserved-cum-Reserved Windows
  • 47 Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs)
  • 25 Jan Sadharan Ticket Booking Seva Kendras

Furthermore, over 60 ticket checking personnel have been deployed at key stations to manage crowds and ensure adherence to ticketing rules.

Senior DCM Kataria noted that efforts are focused on providing seamless and swift service. Railway authorities are also ensuring timely announcements for train arrivals and departures, and coordinating with departments to maintain adequate power supply, water, and cleanliness on all trains for passenger comfort.
