Lucknow, July 1 (UNI) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday attacked Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi for his statement regarding the compensation given to the displaced people in Ayodhya and said that the statement has been made to defame Uttar Pradesh and Ayodhya.
Talking to the media at his official residence, the CM said that Rahul’s statement given in the Lok Sabha is extremely reprehensible and shameful. He said that an amount of Rs 1,733 crore has been provided as compensation to the displaced people during various development works in Ayodhya.
He said, “We all have seen Rahul Gandhi giving false and misleading statements during the Lok Sabha elections. The people who strangled the Constitution tried to influence the elections with the help of foreign money to give misleading statements about the Constitution. They misled the mothers and sisters of India by getting them to fill a fake bond of Rs 1 lakh. Today again he has given a false statement which is extremely reprehensible and shameful.”
Yogi said that everyone knows who has deprived Ayodhya of its identity. “Rahul Gandhi and his colleagues not only exiled Ayodhya but also stained the Saryu with blood. Today, when Ayodhya is re-establishing its glory and attracting the whole world, how can Congress consider it good? Congress is a bundle of lies,” he said.
He said that the truth is that Rs 1,733 crore has been given to the people of Ayodhya only for compensation. “Be it Rampath, Bhaktipath, Janmabhoomi Path or Airport, those whose land, shops, and houses were included in it, have been compensated. Those who had space to build shops at the back, their shops were built, those who did not have space were given shops by building multi-level complexes, and the work of giving them shops was taken forward,” he said.
The CM said that Rahul’s statements were a bundle of lies and beyond the truth. “This is a conspiracy to defame UP and Ayodhya. This is part of the mentality of tarnishing the image of India and Ayodhya which these accidental Hindus have been continuously doing since independence,” he said.
