New Delhi, July 22 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi today held a protest in the Parliament complex along with INDI Alliance party leaders against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.
The Opposition members of both the Houses held protest with slogans “SIR: Stealing Indian Rights” written on placards.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi on social media said, “Joined the protest today in the Parliament complex along with INDIA alliance partners against the vote theft happening in Bihar under the guise of SIR”.
“Voting is the right of every citizen, and we will not allow it to be taken away at any cost. We will fight unitedly against the anti-constitutional forces,” he added.
Wayanad MP and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra told media, “SIR process is a murder of democracy, that’s why we keep saying again and again that it is completely wrong.”
Those who participated in the protest included Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, KC Venugopal, Misa Bharti, Akhilesh Yadav and Kanimozhi.
