Bhopal: The soul-stirring melodies of classical music are set to grace Anjani Sabhagar, Ravindra Bhawan, on October 24th with the annual Thakur Harishchandra Singh Sangeet Samaroh. Organised by the Thakur Harishchandra Singh Sangeet Kala Samiti, the event promises a rich evening of musical performances and felicitations.
Honouring Maestros and Young Talent
The festival will commence at 6 PM with performances by young artists, showcasing the future of classical music. Lavi Deshmukh (Betul) will present classical vocal, while Reva Bhadauria (Indore) will perform a violin recital, accompanied by Yashwi Deshmukh on tabla.
The highlight will be the honouring of eminent figures in Indian Classical Music, including Padma Shri Pandit Umakant Gundecha, Anant Gundecha, and other renowned musicians like Pandit Akhilesh Gundecha.
Dhrupad and Santur Performances
The main presentations will feature a classical vocal performance by Pandit Iman Das (Bangalore) and a Santur recital by Satyendra Singh Solanki, accompanied by Anshul Pratap Singh on tabla. The grand finale will be a mesmerizing Dhrupad duet by Padma Shri Umakant Gundecha and Anant Gundecha, ensuring a spiritually enriched closing. Senior tabla player Pandit Kiran Deshpande will grace the occasion as a chief guest.
