Bhopal: A high speed private bus hit a bike in Bhopal. The collision was so strong that the bike broke the bumper and got stuck inside the bus. Both the youths riding the bike were dragged for about 10 meters. They died on the spot. The driver fled leaving the bus.
The accident took place in MP Nagar Zone-1 on Friday morning at around 11.15 am. The police have registered an FIR and started investigation. The deceased were identified as Osama Khan (26) and Pushkar Shajapurkar (27). Both were residents of Gauri Kinara of Bhind.
ACP Akshay Chaudhary said that near Hotel Arch Manor, a bus of Pushp Travels hit a white Apache bike from behind. The bodies of both the youths were mutilated in the accident. A crowd gathered at the spot. The police had to close one side of the road by barricading.
ACP Chaudhary said that the bus was empty at the time of the accident. It will be clear only after the driver’s arrest where he was taking the bus. The driver is being searched from the bus number. Eyewitnesses said that the bus took a turn at a high speed. The driver could not control the bus after suddenly seeing a biker. Another person was also injured in the accident.
Both had come to Bhopal to get their passports made. Osama and Pushkar both have done MBA from Bhopal’s TIT College. Pushkar used to work in Guna itself. Osama had come to Indore from Bengaluru two days ago, from where he reached Bhopal on Thursday. Pushkar, on the other hand, had come from Guna on Friday morning to get his passport made. He was given an appointment for today (29 November) for the passport. He had left for the passport office located at DB Mall.
Osama’s father Mohammad Kamil Beg said that his son had come to Bhopal from Indore on Thursday morning and was staying at his sister’s house on Chikraud Road. On Friday, he left home with his friend Pushkar to get a passport made. During this time, this accident happened.
