Sunam, (UNI) In a tragic incident near Sunam Udham Singh Wala, a 26-year-old man from village Kotra Lehal allegedly died after consuming a poisonous substance following a domestic dispute with in-laws.
The deceased, Gursewak Singh, had reportedly gone to his in-laws’ village Samaon on February 16 to bring back his wife. During his visit, an argument is said to have occurred with his in-laws, after which he consumed the toxic substance.
He was initially admitted to a private hospital in Mansa and later referred to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. As his condition did not improve, he was shifted to another private hospital in Patiala and subsequently brought to Civil Hospital, Sunam, where he passed away.
Police have registered a case under Sections 108, 3 and 5 against his wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
