Pulkit Samrat’s film ‘Fukrey’ completes 12 years of its release

Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) Marking a nostalgic milestone in his cinematic journey, actor Pulkit Samrat has shared a special post on social media on the commemoration of 12 years of his film “Fukrey”.

Released in 2013, “Fukrey” quicky became a sleeper hit, earning a devoted fan base and a lasting spot in Indian pop culture.

On this occasion, Pulkit shared a special post on Instagram and remembered his iconic character. “Warning: This Hunny comes with 12 years of sweet nostalgia. Proceed with FUKRAPANTI… Sending biggg love to my Fukrey fam – the cast, crew & all the jugaadu geniuses behind the madness… and a special shoutout to the audience for turning our crazy into something truly iconic! Thank you so much for all the love. #12YearsOfFukrey,” he wrote and shared glimpses of the film.

Pulkit’s character ‘Honey’, known for his wit, resourcefulness and camaraderie, quickly became a pop culture favourite. The film struck a chord with viewers for its quirky narratives, grassroots humour and relatable portrayal of friendship, ambition and misadventure.

Honey’s pairing with Varun Sharma playing the character of Choocha, Ali Fazal’s Zafar, Manjot Sharma’s Lali and Richa Chadha’s Bholi Punjaban in the film became the soul of the story and reinvented the tales of friendship in Hindi films.

What started as a small fun film has now become a pop-culture phenomenon, with two superhit sequels. For Pulkit, ‘Hunny’ remains a deeply cherished role- funny, fearless and full of heart.

For the unversed, Pulkit is gearing up for his upcoming projects like a boxing drama titled “Glory”, a cross-culture romance under the name “Suswagatam Khushamadid” and currently shooting in Kasol for “Rahu Ketu”.
