Protest in city over Moharram incident in Ratlam

Sanskriti Bachao Manch submits memo to CM

Bhopal: Members of the Sanskriti Bachao Manch staged a protest in Bhopal on Monday over a controversial incident during the Moharram procession in Ratlam. Gathering near Platinum Plaza, they raised slogans condemning the alleged insult to Hindu sentiments and submitted a memorandum to CM Dr. Mohan Yadav.

The protesters alleged that during the Moharram procession, some individuals disrespected and attempted to burn the Hindu flag. They claimed this act was part of a larger conspiracy aimed at disrupting communal harmony in Madhya Pradesh. The Manch officials demanded that criminal backgrounds of those involved be investigated, and strict legal action be taken to prevent such elements from disturbing the peace.

Demand to impose NSA

Their memorandum included several demands: imposition of the National Security Act (NSA) on those involved in the incident, strict punishment for those who provoke religious sentiments, identification and permanent action against troublemakers, and ensuring that anyone attempting to destabilize the state’s communal fabric is not spared.

Senior Manch leader Chandrashekhar Tiwari led the protest. Other prominent members present were media in-charge Chhotelal Giri, district vice president Ramswaroop Rajput, Gajendra Yadav, Praveen Padanama, Raghuveer Patel, and Tinku Parmeshwar. All of them jointly urged the CM to take decisive action to preserve peace and harmony in the state.
