Proposal to merge BMHRC with AIIMS

The 20th All India Emergency Medical Conference (EMINDIA-24) concluded on Sunday, August 11 at AIIMS Bhopal. On the last day of this five-day conference, a basic life support and CPR course was inaugurated by Governor Mangu Bhai Patel.

On this occasion, MP Alok Sharma said that in today’s fast-paced life, an accident can happen anytime. In such a situation, it is important to have knowledge of basic life support, for this effort, he praised AIIMS Director Dr. Ajay Singh for working with dedication towards the health of the people. MP Sharma said that a proposal has been given to the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister for setting up a trauma centre in AIIMS Bhopal and merging Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre with AIIMS Bhopal and it is expected that work will be done on it soon. Apart from this, a cancer research centre should also be started in AIIMS Bhopal. So that people can be treated better.

People were made aware through cycle rally

A cycle rally was also organised at 7.30 am in collaboration with Bhopal Bicycle Riders Group. Dr. Sagar C. Galvankar, CEO of INDSAM flagged off the rally. About 300 cyclists participated in this 14 km long cycle rally. The rally made people aware to avoid injuries. Also, how to help a patient in an emergency situation so that his life can be saved. Apart from this, various sports competitions related to emergency medicine were organised throughout the day, in which participants from 8 medical colleges took part.

5600 patients come to OPD every day

AIIMS Executive Director Dr. Singh said that more than 750 participants from India and abroad took part in this EMINDIA-24 conference. He expressed his gratitude to the Governor and said that AIIMS Bhopal is moving forward with your support and guidance. Dr. Singh said that with the implementation of One State-One Health Policy, Madhya Pradesh will become a healthy state and will become the first state in the country to implement this policy. In the coming days, a 150-bed trauma and critical care unit will be ready. In the last 2 years, the trust of patients in AIIMS has increased a lot. As a result, more than 5600 patients come to the OPD here every day for treatment. AIIMS Bhopal Chairman Dr. Sunil Malik also addressed the program.

Dr. Yunus, Head of Trauma and Emergency Medicine Department, said that under the Certified Basic Life Support and CPR course, more than two hundred and fifty people will be taught about life saving methods and these people will also be able to teach other people.
