- Useful in diagnosis and investigation of complex neuromuscular disorders
Bhopal: Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Chauhan from the Department of Physiology at AIIMS Bhopal recently delivered a special lecture at the “UPUMS2025” event organized by the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS), Saifai, Etawah. This lecture was based on the subject of “H-Reflex,” which helps in understanding the functioning of the nervous system. This subject is very useful for both medical investigation and research.
Prof. Chauhan explained the principle of this technique, its clinical uses, and recent advancements in it to students, senior residents, and faculty members. He also explained how this technique helps in nerve conduction studies and how it is further improving the study of neurophysiology. Chauhan motivated the youth to adopt new research techniques and move forward in the direction of innovation. His lecture was aimed at promoting scientific thinking and interest in research among students and teachers. He also mentioned that the role of these techniques is becoming increasingly important day by day in the diagnosis of complex neuromuscular disorders.
