Mumbai, Oct 29 (UNI) Producer Prerna Arora has opened up about her upcoming film “Jatadhara”, describing it as a journey that transcends the realms of black magic and fear to delve into the faith and vulnerability of ordinary people entangled with extraordinary forces.
Zee Studios and Prernaa Arora’s film “Jatadhara” has become a topic of immense discussion across the country since the trailer was released. The film’s emotional content, coupled with its gorgeous visuals, has left audiences reeling, while Sudheer Babu’s powerful spiritual character and Sonakshi Sinha’s mysterious and dangerous avatar have captivated and stunned audiences.
Talking about the overwhelming feedback the trailer of “Jatadhara” received, Prerna acknowledged that the response received from the audience is both deeply emotional and inspiring.
According to her, as a producer, belief is the foundation of the work she does. Especially, the themes of the films she made like “Rustom,” “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha,” and “Padman,” created a global buzz upon their debut in mainstream cinema. She has the same conviction about her upcoming film, “Jatadhara,” and seeing people connect so deeply is truly reassuring for her.
Speaking on the resurgence of supernatural cinema with titles like Stree 2, Munjya, and Kantara, Prerna insists Jatadhara stands apart. She said, “This isn’t a comedy or a folk-fantasy. Jatadhara is raw, spiritually intense, and emotionally driven. It goes beyond black magic and fear. ”
“At its core, the film is about faith, innocence, and how ordinary people get pulled into extraordinary forces. The horror here isn’t just visual, it’s psychological, moral, and deeply human. We’re not trying to entertain darkness; we’re confronting the consequences of it,” she further elaborated.
The film also offers a lineup of talented actors, including Shilpa Shirodkar, Ravi Prakash and Rohit Pathak in pivotal roles. Scheduled for a nationwide release on November 7, 2025, in Hindi and Telugu.
