Bhopal: There is a need to work together to keep the urban areas of the state clean. Madhya Pradesh has a national level identity in terms of cleanliness, maintaining this identity is challenging for urban bodies. For this, urban bodies will have to prepare a cleanliness action plan for the next 10 years. Along with this, urban bodies will also have to prepare a strategy for capacity building. This idea was expressed in the workshop chaired by Commissioner Urban Administration and Development Sanket S. Bhondve.
The objective of the workshop was to directly communicate with the cleanliness knowledge partners selected at the state level. Officials from 45 urban bodies participated in the workshop. In the workshop, emphasis was laid on identifying capacity building needs through Capacity Building Need Assessment (CBNA). The workshop was organized at the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal. Topics such as the conditions of urban bodies, priorities, expectations of the bodies and the state were discussed in the workshop. Representatives of 4 national level NGOs also participated in the workshop.
