Preparations strengthened for dengue control

Bhopal: Under the Vector Borne Disease Control Program, District Vector Borne Advisor Mrs. Ruchi Silakari, along with the Embed Project team, inspected sentinel sites under the guidance of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Manish Sharma. The visit focused on reviewing the readiness for dengue control and ensuring all necessary arrangements were in place.

The team visited AIIMS, State Virology Lab, Civil Dispensary Bairagarh, and JP Hospital Lab to assess the availability of testing kits, medical equipment, and medicines. Emphasis was placed on the activation of testing machines and the presence of dengue vector samples.

Officials also discussed the regular sharing of patient data and test reports with the District Malaria Office to enhance disease monitoring and timely intervention. This initiative aims to reinforce preventive measures against dengue and malaria before the monsoon season, ensuring the protection of public health and reducing the risk of outbreaks.
