Pratik Gandhi to headline Hrithik Roshan’s comedy film

Mumbai, March 19 (UNI) “Scam 1992” famed actor Pratik Gandhi is all set to work in the Hrithik Roshan produced “Mess”, which is helmed by Rajesh A. Krishnan, the director behind “Crew”.

Gandhi will play a man with extreme Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in this high-concept narrative blending comedy with tension. The film follows a motley group of robbers who, upon invading the family house of the man with OCD, slowly realise it’s not the family but them who need to survive this night-long standoff.

The film features an ensemble of delightful characters, with Gandhi at the centre, showcasing his flair for comedy again, following his brilliant comedic performance in Kunal Kemmu’s “Madgaon Express.”

Based on an original screenplay by Paul Soter, with an adapted screenplay and dialogues by Kapil Sawant, “Mess” is said to be a thrilling amalgamation of comedy and chaos, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats, reports Variety India.

Speaking at the time of the announcement, Hrithik promised this film “would resonate with audiences who appreciate fresh, unconventional stories that push the boundaries of the genre.” Shooting is scheduled to commence in a few months.

The film is slated to go on floors in the coming months. Pratik, currently engaged in the shoot of “Tongues of the Tree in Meghalaya” under the direction of Shonali Bose and co-produced by Hansal Mehta, will not be in attendance.

Meanwhile, Roshan’s debut streaming series “Storm”, directed by Ajitpal Singh, is slated for release later this year. The high-stakes thriller series is directed by “Tabbar” fame Ajitpal Singh and stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Alaya F, Srishti Shrivastava, Rrama Sharma, and Saba Azad in lead roles.
