Powergrid Nagpur Hosts Regional Cultural Festival and Handicraft Exhibition 2025

Nagpur: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Western Region I, organised the Regional Cultural Festival and Handicraft Exhibition 2025 at the Saptarang Hall, Regional Headquarters, Nagpur. The event saw enthusiastic participation from employees and their family members.

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Shri Vibhay Kumar, Executive Director (Western Region–I), along with Mrs. Sarika Rai, Patron of the Women’s Committee, Western Region–I; K.B. Subramanian, Chief General Manager (Projects); Arvind Kumar Pandey, Chief General Manager (Kurukshetra & Champa HVDC); Rajneesh Tiwari, Chief General Manager (Asset Management); Binod Kumar, Chief General Manager (Nagpur HVDC); and the distinguished panel of judges.

The cultural festival featured competitions in dance, handicrafts, sculpture, and fine arts, highlighting the creative talents of employees and their families. In the dance drama category, Team Durg (Medesara) won the first prize for their inspiring performance Zindagi Jo Kabhi Nahi Haarti portraying resilience, courage, and triumph over adversity. Team Seoni earned the first runner-up position for their performance emphasising the preservation of nature and culture for a sustainable future, while Team Wardha secured second runner-up for their portrayal of harmony between humanity and the five elements of nature. Team Bhatapara received the encouragement award.

Selected participants from the fine arts, sculpture, and handicraft categories were also honoured with trophies.

In his keynote address, Chief Guest Shri Vibhay Kumar congratulated all participants for their creativity and effort. He also highlighted the remarkable achievements of Powergrid Western Region–I in the field of power transmission and reiterated the organisation’s commitment to operational excellence and national progress.

The event concluded with an award distribution ceremony followed by a vote of thanks.
