Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the need for the Madhya Pradesh Police to be future-ready in order to protect society from the growing threats of Artificial Intelligence misuse and cybercrime. He directed that cyber desks be set up in every police station, cyber police stations be established in each district, and state-level call centers be created using advanced information technology. Additionally, he called for intensive awareness campaigns to educate the public about cyber fraud and crime. Dr. Yadav stressed the importance of monitoring social media for activities and messages, urging immediate action against those spreading false or misleading information. He advised that any misleading news, along with law and order issues, should be reported to the relevant department for fact-checking so that accurate information can be swiftly shared on social media. These directives were issued by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav during a Home Department review meeting held at Mantralaya, attended by Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri S.N. Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Director General of Police Shri Sudhir Saxena, and other officials.
