Bhopal: Welfare schemes run by the Madhya Pradesh Police are proving to be a strong support for families of personnel in difficult times, with substantial financial assistance being extended in cases of untimely deaths.
Under the State Bank of India’s police salary package scheme, families of deceased personnel in Barwani and Morena have received insurance assistance of Rs 1 crore each. In Barwani, the family of late constable Jayesh Verma was granted the amount after his accidental death, as his salary account was linked to the scheme. Superintendent of Police Padmavilochan Shukla handed over the cheque.
Similarly, families of late constables Pradyumna Dixit and Anil Kaurav in Morena received Rs 1 crore each, with SP Sameer Saurabh presenting the cheques.
The scheme offers accidental insurance cover, concessional home loans and other financial benefits, ensuring greater security for police families.
