Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Police have intensified efforts to strengthen law and order across the State, successfully cracking a series of serious crimes over the past three days and recovering stolen and looted property worth more than Rs 79 lakh from various districts.
In Vidisha, a major breakthrough was achieved in the Arihant Jewellers dacoity case under Kotwali police station limits. One absconding accused was arrested from forested areas near Gird village in Bajranggarh, Guna district. Police recovered around 5.25 kg of stolen silver ornaments valued at approximately Rs 15 lakh, along with tools used in the crime. The case was registered on 3 January 2026, and under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Rohit Kashwani, eight special teams were formed. So far, three accused and two juveniles have been apprehended, with property worth Rs 13 lakh earlier recovered.
In Alirajpur, Jobat police solved a burglary case and arrested the accused, seizing two gold necklaces valued at nearly Rs 10 lakh and a metal cutter used in the offence.
In Morena’s Ambah, five accused carrying rewards of Rs 10,000 each were arrested following analysis of over 500 CCTV clips. Cash, gold and silver jewellery, mobile phones and a car worth Rs 16.77 lakh were seized.
Similarly, police in Satna (Chitrakoot) recovered stolen cash and jewellery worth Rs 14.26 lakh, while Datia police solved a theft within 12 hours, arresting a domestic worker and seizing gold ornaments worth Rs 17 lakh. In Ujjain’s Birlagram (Nagda) area, three robbers were arrested with valuables worth Rs 6 lakh.
The State police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining public safety and curbing organised crime.
