By Special Correspondent

Bhopal: In an innovative initiative to strengthen the mental well-being of police personnel and enhance sensitivity in public service, Madhya Pradesh Police organised a special meditation and interaction programme at the Industrial Area police station in Dewas on March 19.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Director General of Police Kailash Makwana and Inspector General Ruchi Vardhan Mishra, and led by Superintendent of Police Puneet Gehlot.

The highlight was the presence of renowned spiritual leader Kamlesh D. Patel, who interacted directly with personnel and conducted a meditation session. He shared practical techniques to manage stress, maintain emotional balance and develop a positive outlook, noting that 30 minutes of meditation every Sunday could act as a “mental shield”.

The initiative follows a 2025 agreement with the Heartfulness Institute, under which weekly sessions are held across police stations. Tree plantation was also carried out, symbolising environmental care and inner peace.
