Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Police have successfully traced and safely recovered five missing minors in two separate operations in Narsinghpur and Shivpuri districts, underscoring their prompt response, sensitivity and professional efficiency in matters concerning child safety.

In Narsinghpur district, two girls aged nine and eight were reported missing from Gotegaon police station limits on 10 February. Treating the matter with urgency, Superintendent of Police Dr Rishikesh constituted four special teams to conduct an intensive search. Police personnel scanned bus stands, railway stations and nearby rural areas, while also examining CCTV footage. After sustained efforts, the girls were found safe near bushes by a tree in agricultural fields at village Kamti Semrawari. Enquiries revealed they had hidden themselves out of fear of reprimand at home. They were later reunited with their family members.

In a separate case in Shivpuri, three boys aged 14, 15 and 17 went missing from a hostel on 12 February. Acting on instructions from Superintendent of Police Aman Singh Rathore, a special team reviewed footage from more than 80 CCTV cameras across Shivpuri and Guna. The boys were eventually traced and recovered safely from Guna railway station before being handed over to their guardians.

The police reiterated their continued commitment to maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and strengthening public trust through sustained action in child protection and community safety initiatives across the State.
