New Delhi, Sep 21 (UNI) A special PMLA court in Delhi has taken cognisance of a supplementary charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and issued summons to three additional accused in the high-profile ‘Land for Jobs’ scam case involving former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family.
The court has directed the three individuals to appear before it. The accused are alleged to have transferred land to relatives of Lalu Prasad Yadav in exchange for securing jobs in the Indian Railways.
The supplementary prosecution complaint highlights the acquisition of six additional land parcels in Bihar’s Gopalganj district. These plots were allegedly transferred to the former minister’s sons, Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, as bribes in return for appointing the sellers or their family members to Group D positions in the Railways between 2004 and 2009.
The money laundering investigation stems from an original CBI FIR. The ED had previously filed a prosecution complaint in January 2024 against Amit Katyal, Lalu’s wife Rabri Devi, daughters Misha Bharti and Hema Yadav, and linked companies. A subsequent supplementary charge sheet was filed in August 2024 against Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.
The court has scheduled the next hearing in the case for October 13.
