New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid homage to revolutionary freedom fighter Shaheed Udham Singh on his martyrdom day, recalling his unwavering courage and patriotism.
In a message shared on X, Prime Minister wrote, “Humble tribute to the immortal son of Mother India, Shaheed Udham Singh, on his martyrdom day. His saga of patriotism and valour will forever remain a source of inspiration for the countrymen.”
Shaheed Udham Singh is remembered for avenging the Jallianwala Bagh massacre by assassinating Michael O’Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab, in 1940. His sacrifice occupies a revered place in India’s freedom struggle.
