Ara, Nov 2 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced that Bihar will be transformed into a key centre for ‘Made in India’ manufacturing, with a strong focus on promoting small and cottage industries across the state.
Addressing a massive rally here, Modi said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government’s goal is to make Bihar a driving force in India’s industrial growth, especially in the sectors of textiles, tourism, and technology.
The world today is enthusiastic about Make in India, Modi said adding that his mission is to ensure that Bihar becomes a hub for Made in India.
Work is already underway to create industrial clusters across different regions of the state, and once the NDA returns to power, these projects will be expanded further, he said.
The Prime Minister asserted that the day is not far when Bihar will emerge as eastern India’s leading centre for textiles and tourism, adding that major data centres will also be set up in the state.
“People will be able to work for global companies while staying right here in Bihar,” he added.
Highlighting Bihar’s large youth population, Modi said the NDA is placing strong emphasis on education, skill development, and employment generation.
“Our manifesto reflects our commitment to empowering Bihar’s youth. We have pledged to create one crore jobs in the coming years, and we have also presented a clear roadmap for achieving this target,” he said.
Calling the NDA’s manifesto “honest and visionary,” Modi said every promise and initiative outlined in it is dedicated to Bihar’s rapid and inclusive development.
Taking a swipe at the opposition, he said, “On one side, there is the NDA’s sincere manifesto, and on the other, there are those from the Jungle Raj era whose promises are based on lies and deception.”
He noted that the NDA’s vision document prioritises education for children, healthcare for families, employment for youth and irrigation for farmers, along with strong provisions for women’s empowerment.
Speaking about the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, Modi said it has brought happiness to households across Bihar.
So far, Rs 10,000 each has been transferred to the accounts of 1.3 crore women, including about four lakh women in Bhojpur district, he said adding that after coming back to power, the NDA will intensify this campaign to empower even more sisters of Bihar.
Modi reaffirmed the NDA’s resolve to make Bihar a self-reliant, industrially vibrant and economically empowered state, driven by the talent and hard work of its youth and women.
