Jerusalem/New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by Benjamin Netanyahu, visited a special innovation exhibition in Jerusalem showcasing cutting-edge Israeli technologies across a wide spectrum of strategic sectors, underscoring the growing technological collaboration between India and Israel.
The exhibition featured advanced innovations in Quantum technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Health-Tech, Smart Mobility, Cybersecurity, Water management, Agriculture, Climate-Tech, Energy and Space. The showcased solutions reflected Israel’s strong innovation ecosystem and its leadership in emerging and frontier technologies.
During the visit, Prime Minister Modi interacted with innovators and entrepreneurs and observed live demonstrations of breakthrough solutions aimed at addressing critical global challenges, including precision agriculture, sustainable water management, advanced cybersecurity systems and quantum research platforms.
Highlighting the relevance of these technologies to India’s development priorities, Modi noted that the innovations on display offer strong potential for scale and adaptation in India. “These innovations can play a transformative role in boosting agricultural productivity, expanding healthcare access in rural areas, strengthening cybersecurity frameworks, advancing quantum research and enabling sustainable water and climate solutions,” he said.
Emphasising India’s expanding digital infrastructure, skilled workforce and large market, the Prime Minister invited participating Israeli companies to deepen engagement with Indian partners, including startups, research institutions and industry leaders. “I invite you to contribute actively to India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat,” he said, reiterating India’s vision of becoming a developed nation through innovation-driven growth.
Prime Minister Netanyahu welcomed the growing cooperation, highlighting the complementary strengths of the two countries and expressing confidence that enhanced collaboration in high-technology sectors would further strengthen the bilateral partnership.
India and Israel have steadily expanded ties since establishing full diplomatic relations in 1992, with cooperation spanning defence, agriculture, water management and advanced technologies.
The visit to the innovation showcase marks another step in consolidating the strategic partnership, with technology emerging as a key pillar of India–Israel relations.
