New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) On Police Commemoration Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of police personnel who have served selflessly to safeguard the nation.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “On Police Commemoration Day, we salute the courage of our police personnel and recall the supreme sacrifice by them in the line of duty. Their steadfast dedication keeps our nation and people safe. Their bravery and commitment in times of crisis and in moments of need are appreciable.”
The Prime Minister’s statement comes on a day when the nation observes Police Commemoration Day to honor the memory of 10 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who were martyred in a Chinese attack in Ladakh’s Hot Springs on October 21, 1959. This day is observed to pay homage to all police personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
The Prime Minister’s tribute highlights the nation’s appreciation for the unwavering commitment and bravery of police personnel.
“Their unwavering dedication ensures the safety of our people. They exemplify courage and determination,” PM Modi added.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid his respects to the police officers who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.
He emphasised the importance of honoring the sacrifices of police personnel and their families, saying, “The nation will always be indebted to the brave Jawans who sacrificed their lives for the nation.”
