PM Modi highlights Amit Shah’s tribute on 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram,’ symbol of India’s spirit and resilience

New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday brought attention to a thoughtful article by union Home Minister Amit Shah commemorating the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, India’s revered national song.

Shah’s piece celebrates the song’s powerful legacy as a beacon of India’s freedom struggle and cultural pride.

Amit Shah reflects on how Vande Mataram, penned by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay during the oppressive colonial era, emerged as a dawn-song of awakening—fusing civilizational nationalism with a deep cultural identity. “Vande Mataram continues to inspire our vision of a confident, self-reliant, and resurgent Viksit Bharat 2047,” Shah wrote.

Sharing the tribute on platform X, PM Modi encouraged citizens to engage with the article, underscoring the enduring relevance of Vande Mataram in India’s journey toward progress and self-reliance. The reflection comes at a time when the nation honors its rich heritage and the unifying spirit embodied by this timeless anthem.
