PM Modi forced to talk about dynastic politics as he has nothing else left to say: Omar

Srinagar, Sep 14 (UNI) Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is forced to talk about ‘dynastic politics’ in the public rally in Doda district earlier in the day as he has nothing else left to say.

The National Conference Vice President said the final decision will be made by the people when they will come out to vote in the Assembly election.

“Let’s see how much the people are influenced by the Prime Minister’s words,” Omar told reporters in south Kashmir.

Modi in his first rally in Jammu’s Doda district on Saturday accused three dynasties- referring to Abdullah’s, Mufti’s and Gandhi’s- for destroying Kashmir.

“They have anything else left to say? They haven’t done anything else in Jammu and Kashmir. No new projects have come in. Whatever projects are being built today was due to the previous governments. We haven’t got anything new from this government, especially in the last five years. That is why Prime Minister Sahib is forced to talk about three families,” he said, adding that the final decision will be made by the people.

At a separate function on south Kashmir, Omar said when BJP needed help from these families (Abdullah and Mufti), then they were not responsible for the destruction of J&K.

“It has not been five- six years that BJP was in alliance with PDP in J&K. They (BJP) did not see any wrong in the PDP. When ex-PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee sahib had to include a Minister in his government, he picked me, there was nothing wrong with us,” the former CM said, adding that they find faults only in elections.

“Believe me tomorrow if BJP falls short of numbers, and PDP again decides to help them, they will again find nothing wrong with the PDP. It’s all a matter of time,” Omar said.

He said the Prime Minister talks about families to deviate people from issues.

“It hasn’t even been twenty-four hours yet. In the Kishtwar area, an army officer and a soldier were killed at the hands of militants. Today, in North Kashmir, an encounter is still ongoing. Perhaps there isn’t a single area in Jammu where we don’t see the influence of militancy. Whether it’s the Chenab Valley, Pir Panjal, Udhampur, Reasi, Samba, Jammu, or Kathua, wherever you look, there is the influence of militancy.

The Prime Minister can say many things, but he cannot say that his party has achieved any significant success in fighting militancy in Jammu and Kashmir,” the NC Vice President said.

Omar said that they have no hopes from the present BJP government as this is the first time since independence that a government has been formed in Delhi without any Muslim representation.

“How do these BJP people have the audacity to come here and ask for votes? They should first answer this question as to why they couldn’t find a single capable and qualified Muslim to make a Minister in the Union government.

They have come here to deceive people and are giving them false assurances,” he said.

“God willing, the results will come out, and the BJP will go back unsuccessful from here,” the former CM added.
